I'm a junior at Brown University pursuing a degree in computer science. My home is in Shanghai, China, but I lived in New York for the first nine years of my life.
Last summer, I interned as a software engineer at Microsoft, working for the open source team in the China Cloud Innovation Center on image processing and cloud storage. This past year, I was a teaching assistant for Brown University's introductory CS courses. I am currently working on a virtual reality project with NASA's Visualization Lead of Chandra X-ray Observatory Kimberly Arcand to produce a 3D model of the supernova Cas A.
Outside of software engineering, you can find me teaching exciting science lessons to Rhode Island high school students, working at a local radio station, and exploring Providence's delicious brunch options.
